Nieuw rapport: Protect for the Future over kinderbescherming

Een nieuw rapport is verschenen over de bescherming van kinderen in het licht van het behalen van de MDG’s geschreven door een alliantie van verschillende internationale organisaties.

Het wereldwijde pleidooi van ontwikkelingsorganisaties om meer te doen aan het beschermen van kinderen (social protection) en daarbij met name te richten op armoedebescrtijding die zich richt op gezinnen met kinderen wordt in dit rapport onderbouwd.

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have focused global efforts to improve the lives of the world’s poorest people. Yet many of the crucial targets are in danger of not being reached by 2015, which will have devastating impacts for the wellbeing of children throughout the world. This important report argues that a failure to provide proper care and protection for children is hindering progress in the achievement of many of the MDGs.
