Jeugd tegen geweld: een trainings programma in het Arabisch tegen geweld

Met hulp van de Nederlandse Ambassade in Syrië is een trainings programma in Arabisch over geweld tegen kinderen en vrouwen onder de naam: ”Youth against Violence” ontwikkeld. Het is het eerste trainings hulpmiddel (oefeningen en programma’s op CD als een toolkit) in de Arabische wereld.
Het geheel kan worden gedownload vanaf de website van het Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch (GOPA).

With the support of both the British and Netherlands embassies in Syria, the Department of Development at the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch (GOPA) in Damascus has released a new CD training kit under the title: Youth Against Violence. It is a first of its kind training tool in Syria, as well as in Arab speaking countries.

The aim of the CD is to train NGOs and young people how to work against violence and how they could support victims of violence around them.
The CD contains the following information on violence:
- against children, including information about child rights
- against women, including information about CEDAW
- against domestic workers
- youth exercises derived from COMPASS: HRE training material

The CD is only available in Arabic for NGOs and youth. A limited number of copies are available, that’s why we make it available on our website.
